The president of BAIC, Arantxa Tapia, and the president of IndesIA, Valero Marín, have signed today a memorandum to promote the competitive improvement of companies, based on the development of the data economy and artificial intelligence.
La presidenta de BAIC, Arantxa Tapia, y el presidente de IndesIA, Valero Marín, han firmado hoy un memorándum para promover la mejora competitiva de las empresas, a partir del desarrollo de la economía del dato y la inteligencia artificial
The Basque Artificial Intelligence Center (BAIC) and its state-level counterpart of artificial intelligence companies, IndesIA, have committed in writing to promote the exchange of experiences and information “in order to face and overcome the challenges presented by the application of artificial intelligence in companies in the industrial sector”, as expressed in the memorandum signed in Madrid by the president of BAIC, Arantxa Tapia, and the president of IndesIA, Valero Marín.
BAIC and IndesIA were created in July and December last year, respectively, with the common goal of promoting the use of artificial intelligence in the industry as a way to ensure its competitiveness. IndesIA will make available to the BAIC ecosystem, a data and AI platform to test and value possible solutions that promote the competitiveness and sustainability of SMEs in the sector.
BAIC (Basque Artificial Intelligence Center) was established in July 2021 with the aim of leading and promoting the development of Artificial Intelligence in the Basque Country “to improve business competitiveness and the welfare of Basque society”.

IndesIA is an association of artificial intelligence for industry, formed by eight large Spanish companies: Repsol, Gestamp, Navantia, Técnicas Reunidas, Telefónica, Microsoft, Airbus and Ferrovial, with the support of the Basque Artificial Intelligence Center (BAIC) and Accenture. Basque Artificial Intelligence Center (BAIC), el Centro Vasco de Inteligencia Artificial, y su homónimo de empresas de inteligencia artificial de ámbito estatal, IndesIA, se han comprometido por escrito a impulsar el intercambio de experiencias e información “para poder enfrentar y superar los retos que presenta la aplicación de la inteligencia artificial en las empresas del sector industrial”, tal y como se expresa en el memorándum que han firmado en Madrid la presidenta de BAIC, Arantxa Tapia, y el presidente de IndesIA, Valero Marín.
BAIC e IndesIA se crearon en julio y diciembre del pasado año, respectivamente, con el objetivo común de impulsar el uso de la inteligencia artificial en la Industria, como vía para asegurar su competitividad. IndesIA pondrá a disposición del ecosistema del BAIC, una plataforma de data e IA para probar y poner en valor de posibles soluciones que promuevan la competitividad y la sostenibilidad de las pymes del sector.
BAIC (Basque Artificial Intelligence Center) – Centro Vasco de Inteligencia Artificial, se constituyó en julio de 2021 con el objetivo de liderar e impulsar el desarrollo de la Inteligencia Artificial en Euskadi “para mejorar la competitividad empresarial y el bienestar de la sociedad vasca”.
