Basque company ‘Cyber Human Systems‘ has launched its new textile exoskeleton called ‘ExoHead’, designed to improve ergonomics in demanding work environments. The device provides support for tasks that require the arms to be raised and assistance in the lower back, helping to reduce fatigue and the risk of injury. It uses artificial elastomer muscles that adapt to the user’s movement, offering greater comfort.
Cyber Human Systems specializes in creating industrial exoskeletons to mitigate occupational hazards and improve safety in sectors such as industrial, military and rescue, among others. Its products include the ‘ExoSoft’, a textile exoskeleton for the prevention of lumbar problems; the ‘Gudex’, focused on supporting heavy loads in the military, and the ‘ExoRescue’, designed to improve mobility in extreme conditions such as the Himalayas.
The company is also working on the development of exoskeletons for long-term military operations through European projects such as ‘Achile’. It also collaborates with major international firms such as Ferrovial and Iberdrola, and aims to expand into the US market. The company’s annual turnover is around 1.3 million euros.
Cyber Human Systems continues to grow with the help of local innovation programmes, such as those of the SPRI Group, which promotes Basque companies through digitalisation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
