Ambos centros tecnológicos, miembros de BRTA, han firmado un acuerdo de colaboración para desarrollar soluciones conjuntas que generen empleo y fomenten la innovación en el tejido empresarial.
Electronics integrated in plastic parts is opening up new possibilities as regards implementing less costly and more resilient manufacturing procedures in different sectors. One of the technologies that is causing a revolution in this field is called In Mould Electronics (IME), a manufacturing technique that integrates electronics during a plastic injection process.
The Basque technology centres GAIKER and Tekniker have signed a collaborative agreement to boost the development of innovative solutions that include this technology. They aim to share their expertise and know how as key drivers for the Basque industry. This new partnership featuring two BRTA (Basque Research and Technology Alliance) members will offer major collaborative and development opportunities as well as the possibility of implementing joint solutions aimed at integrating electronics in plastic components and generating synergies with other stakeholders in the business fabric.
Both companies will be providing technologies in which they already specialize. Tekniker covers technologies that are the design of printed electronics for IME, 2D the printing of electronic circuits and the insertion of components that it is not possible to print at this point in time. GAIKER will provide knowledge connected to technologies associated with plastic materials and material selection and processing.
All of these technologies also incorporate characterisation procedures. Tekniker, on the one hand, will run final functional and robustness tests on products with regard to electronics and, on the other, GAIKER will follow suit in the case of the plastic materials used.
La electrónica integrada en piezas de plástico está abriendo nuevas posibilidades en cuanto a la aplicación de procedimientos de fabricación menos costosos y más resistentes en diferentes sectores. Una de las tecnologías que está causando una revolución en este campo es la denominada In Mould Electronics (IME), una técnica de fabricación que integra la electrónica durante un proceso de inyección de plástico.
Los centros tecnológicos vascos GAIKER y Tekniker han firmado un acuerdo de colaboración para impulsar el desarrollo de soluciones innovadoras que incluyan esta tecnología. Pretenden compartir su experiencia y conocimiento como motores clave para la industria vasca. Esta nueva asociación entre dos miembros de la BRTA (Alianza Vasca de Investigación y Tecnología) ofrecerá importantes oportunidades de colaboración y desarrollo, así como la posibilidad de implementar soluciones conjuntas orientadas a la integración de la electrónica en los componentes de plástico y a la generación de sinergias con otros actores del tejido empresarial.
Ambas empresas aportarán tecnologías en las que ya están especializadas. Tekniker cubre tecnologías que son el diseño de electrónica impresa para IME, la impresión en 2D de circuitos electrónicos y la inserción de componentes que no es posible imprimir en este momento. GAIKER aportará conocimientos relacionados con las tecnologías asociadas a los materiales plásticos y la selección y procesamiento de materiales.
Todas estas tecnologías incorporan también procedimientos de caracterización. Tekniker, por un lado, realizará pruebas finales de funcionalidad y robustez de los productos en lo que respecta a la electrónica y, por otro, GAIKER hará lo propio en el caso de los materiales plásticos utilizados.
