- The Iurreta-based firm, with over 110 years of experience in hot forging, already exports 85% of its production to Europe and the Americas.
- At the German trade fair, it will showcase its latest capabilities in robotisation, advanced simulation, and its unified, sustainable plant model.
The Biscayan company Forjas de Berriz has confirmed its participation in CastForge 2026, the major international event for the foundry, machining, and forging sectors, to be held in Stuttgart (Germany) from 9 to 11 June. This presence is part of the firm’s strategy for expansion and consolidation in the most demanding foreign markets.
With an export rate already reaching 90% of its total production, directed primarily at Europe and the Americas, Forjas de Berriz will attend the fair (located in Hall 10, Stand D43) as a reference supplier with a high capacity for adaptation to bespoke projects in critical sectors such as automotive, railway, energy, and heavy machinery.
Industry 4.0 technology and century-old roots
Founded over a century ago, the company combines its traditional expertise with a strong commitment to industrial digitalisation and process optimisation in industrial part forging. In Stuttgart, the firm will highlight its technical capabilities, including five production lines equipped with high-power presses (with a main unit of 3,150 tonnes) for the manufacture of hot-forged steel parts weighing up to 25 kg.
This physical capacity is complemented by the integration of forging simulation software, robotisation systems, and in-plant data collection key tools for reducing lead times and ensuring the highest quality standards demanded by the international market.

Energy transition and efficiency
In addition to its technological showcase, Forjas de Berriz will use this European platform to present the results of its recent modernisation and strategic investment process. Having centralised all its production activity in a single, modern, and efficient plant in Iurreta, the company has not only optimised its internal logistics but has also reinforced its commitment to environmental sustainability through the installation of a solar panel infrastructure for photovoltaic self-consumption.
With this step, the Biscayan company reaffirms at CastForge its commitment to an industrial model in which international competitiveness, technological innovation, and sustainable development all move forward in the same direction.
