Ayesa Digital has established itself as one of the leading digital service providers in Spain and Latin America, with advanced capabilities in data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, automation, software development, and emerging technologies, in addition to traditional digital services. Its trajectory of innovation continues to expand through its leadership of the BAQURA project ,BAsque QUantum Reliable Architecture, an initiative aimed at integrating post-quantum cybersecurity into industrial environments.
Funded by the Hazitek programme of the SPRI Group, BAQURA seeks to enable industrial companies to strengthen the protection of their critical data through post-quantum technologies. The initiative focuses on researching and validating mechanisms capable of facilitating the transition from conventional cryptographic systems toward solutions resistant to the future threats posed by quantum computing.
Alongside Ayesa Digital, the project brings together Multiverse Computing, Dorlet, LKS, Ibernova, Cegasa, and Cybertix. Together, these organizations form an integrated value chain encompassing research into post-quantum cryptography (PQC), highly secure quantum and virtual communications, integration into industrial protocols and architectures, and validation through real-world industrial use cases.
A trajectory closely linked to the industrial development of Euskadi – Basque Country
Although the origins of Ayesa Digital can be traced back to an engineering company founded in Seville in 1966, the incorporation of Ibermática gave rise to the organization that exists today: a fully technology-oriented company whose origins are deeply connected to the industrial development of the Basque Country.
“Euskadi is one of the most advanced technological ecosystems in Europe, and it is where our headquarters are currently located,” states Itziar Cuenca, Director of R&D. “Today, we maintain a strong presence across Europe and Latin America, consolidating a technological platform with international reach.”
Ayesa Digital has therefore evolved into a global technology services company which, with a workforce of approximately 11,000 professionals and a business volume of €580 million, “has positioned itself among the five leading companies in the sector in Spain, leading the provision of mission-critical IT services and the management of strategic transformation projects,” explains Cuenca.
Throughout this trajectory, the company has continuously evolved by integrating cutting-edge technologies and has been a pioneer in artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions. “These technologies occupy a central position within our projects, enabling more efficient, predictive, and resilient operating models,” Cuenca notes.
Today, Ayesa Digital designs, integrates, and operates the digital platforms that support major corporations and public administrations, helping them leverage successful AI-driven projects and advanced technological solutions “to elevate their operating models to the next level, protect critical assets, and transform technology into a sustainable competitive advantage.”
