The company strengthens its presence in North America and its leadership in strategic markets.
The basque “Arania” has consolidated as a leader in the steel sector, specifically of high-precision cold-rolled steel in southern Europe. The site is in Amorebieta and it has more than 190 employees with an annual production capacity quantified in 140.000 tones. 65% of the production is intended to foreign markets divided in more than 20 countries. “Our specialization in high and low carbon materials, as well as high yield strength alloys and micro alloys, allows us to meet the growing demands of the industry”, they emphasize.
Arania is near following the global growth. Because of that, they are improving their expansion plan over North America, planning a landing in Canada. “This step adds to our solid track record in Mexico, where we have been operating for more than two decades with positive results, reflecting our ability to adapt and grow in strategic markets.”
In addition, the company is setting a milestone on its enterprise strategy by making a low emissions steel thanks to which they are on the top of the decarbonizing in Europe. One of the most relevant advances in this field is the installation of photovoltaic modules, which represent 8% of the electricity.
